FULANI HAYNES, (tenor) has had a strong commitment to community programs
which led to involvement in many musical, and theater ensemble projects. Her theater
credits include The River Niger, The Music Man, Black Nativity, One Women's Journey,
and many more. Ms. Haynes has appeared on television, and radio, and made musical
engagements at Sculler's Jazz Club (Boston). She is also the founder, and Director
of And The Beat Goes On a musical production company comprised of Boston musicians
who present programs designed to entertain, and educate the public about the rich
history of Jazz.
TYISSHA JONES, (alto/bass), a long time resident of Roxbury, MA; graduated from the Roland Hayes Division of Music; at an early age Tyissha showed a great interest in all aspects of the performing arts. Once a dancer for Bostons own Female Force, Tyissha then took a behind the scenes job as an event planner for Slades Bar & Grill. This job rekindled her love for music and her yearning to be a part of the action. Thus, leading her to group up with Fulani and Cynthia (two seasoned showstoppers of vintage), they were able to take her love for R&B music to the next level by adding a little jazz and contemporary flavor to it. She looks forward with eagerness to be a part of the new Vintage Family.
,
